Vehicle Description

The Sonny’s Racing powerplant utilizes a Bryant Racing billet crankshaft, SAR 14.5-degree aluminum cylinder heads, a custom roller camshaft, a nitrous oxide system, and BigStuff EFI, and it is linked to a transbrake-equipped three-speed automatic transmission. The car rides on adjustable AFCO Racing shocks, a CalTracs split mono combo kit, and Weld Racing wheels mounted over Wilwood disc brakes, and the 12-bolt rear end houses a limited-slip differential. The Le Mans Blue-finished body features a 4″ cowl hood, hideaway headlights, and both front and rear spoilers, while the interior is fitted with black vinyl bucket seats, RaceQuip latch-and-link harnesses, a center console, and a six-point roll cage with swing-out bars. The body received a reported two-stage repaint in the factory color of Le Mans Blue (71) with black hood and decklid stripes and a replacement black vinyl roof (B) during the refurbishment. The 4″ cowl-induction fiberglass hood rises on an engine compartment with a body-color radiator support and a firewall that was smoothed and finished in satin black to match the inner fenders. The subframes have been reinforced with weld-in connectors, and mini-tubs are installed out back to accommodate the wheel and tire package. Exterior style elements include electric hideaway headlight doors, a front air dam, a black grille and taillight panel, polished rocker panel moldings, faux quarter-panel louvers, and a decklid spoiler. All six pieces of glass, including a replacement windshield, have been tinted. There are no windshield wipers, and the selling dealer notes that the left decklid stripe is 1″ narrower than the right-side stripe.
